Keith and Nancy Kouris opened Blue Duck Bakery in Southampton in 1999, and have since grown at lightning speed, with two additional locations in Southold and Riverhead, as well as selling to many retail outlets and farmers markets throughout NY.

Blue Duck offers fine artisan breads, as well as cakes, cookies, pies and pastries all baked daily on premises and overseen by Keith, master baker of over twenty-five years and graduate of the French Culinary Institute’s Bread Baking Program.

Superior in quality, the bread is created by skilled craftsmen using traditional European techniques, and only the finest ingredients. The most important detail is the baker’s care and individual attention to each hand made loaf. They contain no preservatives, stabilizers or dough conditioners, only unbleached flour, water, sea salt and natural leavenings. Delicious and crunchy on the outside, with a light, soft and yummy inside. Dredged in a full-bodied olive oil with some Amagansett Sea Salt is pure gastronomic heaven.

Artisan breads are best eaten immediately, but we have found them to be just as great if wrapped in foil, ziplocked and frozen same day. Heat them up in a 400 degree oven for 5-10 minutes, and their crisp deliciousness comes right back!
