Grilled Clams
with Lemon Butter, Red Pepper Flakes and Cilantro

  • 1 Dozen Fresh Local Little Necks
  • 1/4 Cup Melted Butter
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
  • 1 Teaspon Red Pepper Flakes
  • A Few Sprigs of Cilantro, Chopped

Clamming is a great family activity. Even my husband, who can’t eat  clams, likes the hunt.  This is a super easy way to enjoy the fruits of your labor and if you don’t have a clam rake, a trip to the local seafood market works just as well.

Melt the butter and combine with the lemon juice, red pepper flakes and cilantro.  Heat the grill and toss on the clams.  Wait 2 or 3 minutes for the clams to pop open.  Remove the clams and drizzle with butter mixture. Enjoy.
