Sea Scallops are my favorite seafood. I often head into the fish market with the intention of walking out with something interesting to try, but instead find myself with sea scallops because I love them so much. It’s kind of like ordering the same dish again and again at your favorite restaurant.  You know that the other things must be worth trying but you just can’t move on. Anyway, I usually pan sear the scallops but they are also very yummy raw when their sweet flavor and delicate texture is really accentuated.

Peel and segment the grapefruit with a serrated knife reserving any juice. Mix the grapefruit with capers and olive oil.  Remove the foot from the scallop and slice thinly. Arrange the scallops on a plate.  Drizzle with freshly squeezed lime juice, salt, pepper, and the grapefruit mixture. Garnish with cilantro leaves. Serve immediately.
